The world's top jazz band Salman Gondi went to Rongcheng to bring pure jazz music feast to the "Autumn of Rongcheng".

Salmagundi refers to a 17th century classic mixed salad in English. Its main features can be summarized in two words, namely "classic" and "pluralism". As the name implies, the Salman Gandi Orchestra is composed of 11 Jazz "old guns" from all over the world. They are all experienced world musicians. Among them, the founder of the orchestra, Tom Richesion, from Arkansas, USA, is a classical jazz trumpet soloist and electronic pipe soloist. The list of people performing with him looks like a "catalogue" of jazz and pop music. He has also worked with many celebrities in pop music, such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, Lou Rawls and the O'Jays.

Saxophone and clarinet player Gregory Tardy in the orchestra are also the world's top performers. In 1992, Tardy began recording his first album, Crazy Love, with Elvin Jones, a legendary figure known as "the greatest rhythmic drummer in the world". In 1998, Tardy was awarded the New York Jazz Awards Best Debut Artist. Gregory Tardy has made numerous appearances on Grammy Award-winning records in the United States with excellent performances. Many of his records have been honored as "Best Record of the Year" by DownBeat Magazine, a leading jazz magazine.

Because of their love and enthusiasm for China, they came to China again this year. In this golden autumn October, as one of the important activities of Chengdu International Music Season in 2017, "The Autumn of Chengdu", the orchestra will start the first show of this trip in China with a wonderful jazz concert.
