Situated in Wanchun town, Wenjiang district, in the city of Chengdu, Floraland is a national 4A scenic spot that integrates a thousand-mu theme park, a five-star hotel, a conference center, a high-end international themed community and stretches of grassland, along with sound supporting facilities such as a European style business center, an international bilingual school, a kindergarten and a hospital. The group aims to build a world-renowned “international themed city”. Chengdu Zhixin Group has worked with world-leading companies in entertainment and theme park planning and landscape designing, such as HHCP Design International, American Landmark Entertainment Group and Canadian Forrec Ltd. It has finished overall plans and concept designs for Floraland with international perspectives and elaborate ideas. The architectural design and entertainment facilities of Floraland are complementary. It consists of nine themes, including the Chinese Pavilion, Spanish Pavilion, American Market, Japanese Pavilion, Italian Pavilion, Belgian Pavilion, German Pavilion, French Pavilion and Magic Island, revealing both exotic and indigenous elements. Orientating towards different tourist groups such as teenagers, children and families, the amusement park is equipped with more than 30 types of China’s leading thrilling or family-friendly facilities, including a tour for challengers, a 15-meter wild water slide, a deluxe double decker carousel, a spinning disco and an ocean island. These facilities are aimed to let tourists fully experience the excitement brought by high-tech entertainment and the romance of fantasy beauties. On September 28, 2005, Floraland was opened to the public as a characteristic park of the 6th China Flower Expo, and won the praise of countless tourists for its distinct charm. After the Flower Expo was wrapped up, the park went through expansion and re-construction for entertainment, and undertook a number of influential large-scale activities such as Sichuan International Food Festival, Colorful Show in the May Day Holiday, Global Science Fiction Week, Beautiful Flower City and 2006 Super Girl Fan Meeting. Through introduction of entertainment projects and new planning concepts, in 2006, the park successfully drew upon the operational and managerial experience of Samsung Everland of South Korea. On April 14, 2007, the park had the grand opening.
