Chengdu Jazz Orchestra
Chengdu Jazz Orchestra, founded in 2015, is a jazz performance group under the Chengdu Orchestra. It is also the only professional jazz band in Western China. The Orchestra devotes itself to the development and popularization of jazz with a very high professional standard. Its members are composed of domestic Jazz elites with rich experience in performing. The orchestra, with its comprehensive musical style, exquisite performing skills, rich playing experience and passionate stage performances, brings audiences time and again the enjoyment of music and the baptism of soul.
Since its establishment, the orchestra has accumulated a large number of jazz classics, and at the same time has created and produced a large number of excellent jazz music. The orchestra has performed with world-class jazz masters at home and abroad for many times, such as Uriel Weinberg, Ham Emmanuel Piskov, Ru Xiaolin, Hanlin, Cao Kan and Li Xiaochuan. In the process of popularizing, communicating and promoting jazz, the orchestra has held a large number of jazz concerts, such as Present & Life Jazz Concert, Rongcheng Music Classic Jazz Concert, Chengdu International Music Season "Star Brilliant II" Jazz Concert in 2017. Through years of efforts, the orchestra has been recognized by the audience, the media and experts, and has a certain popularity in China.
