This National Day, walking in the streets of Chengdu, from time to time meet the gathering of people. Surrounded by singing street artists, they have become beautiful scenery in Chengdu since they took office in April this year.

In this year's "Autumn of Chengdu" International Music season, street artists also have a place. On the evening of September 30, the first Chengdu Street Music Festival 2018 opened at 339 TV Tower. During the National Day, street artists performed indulgently in this "music capital".

From these street artists, we can see the love and perseverance for music. It is their existence that makes Chengdu's streets more lively. People interact and communicate with each other because of music, and feel the gentleness of the city.

In the 339 TV Tower on the night before National Day, "the first Chengdu Street Artists'Music Festival in 2018" opened in the rain. Du Yuanqi sang two original songs that night and watched the crowd cheering for her. The girls studying environmental engineering in this university laughed very happily.

Du Yuanqi did not play music for long. Two years ago, because of a severe asthma, she quit her job to concentrate on music, learn guitar, form a band and write songs. She started singing in the bar, and then got tired of it. A chance, a friend asked her to participate in a promotional film to recruit street artists. She knew very early that Chengdu was recruiting street artists. She wanted to share her music with others and make friends in the street, so she signed up and became one of them.

After becoming a street artist, Du Yuanqi has gained a lot of fans. The song has landed on Netease Yun and QQ music, and also has a story with fans. She found that every time she sang in the street, a boy would listen carefully. Later, Du Yuanqi chatted with him. The boy shyly said that he also wanted to perform in the street. So Du encouraged him to participate in the third batch of recruitment of street artists. Finally, the boys got what they wanted.

It is precisely because of such or other opportunities that more and more people participate in street culture.

At the opening party on September 30th, there were many well-known singers like Du Yuanqi who took root in the streets of Chengdu. They may not be from a major class, but on the professional stage, they behaved like stars. As Chen Di, director of the opening ceremony and founder of the Music House, said, let us re-recognize street art, but also stimulate street art.

Street performances are full of wonderful encounters: brief eye contact with strangers, encounters with old friends, or performances with star singers.

As usual, on the evening of September 28, Zhong Jinqi came to the Central Avenue of the Memory Music Park in the eastern suburbs, picked up the guitar and sang, and soon attracted many people to stop and watch. When she sang Wang Lihong's "Fallen Leaves Back to Their Roots", the crowd began to stir and scream. Wang appeared suddenly and went to her side to sing with her. It turned out that Wang Lihong was having a meal in the eastern suburbs, when he heard someone singing his song, he found her along the voice. Zhong Jinqi couldn't believe what was happening in front of her. She was nervous and excited. She sang the song with Wang Lihong in a "muddled" state.

Zhong Jinqi is not a formal street artist yet. Her job is music from the media and she likes singing, so she goes to the street to perform. In her opinion, when singing in the street, she can make close contact with people, exercise her psychological quality and make herself play better on the spot. The "cooperation" with Wang Leehom made her love street performances even more. She hopes to become a real street artist one day.

For street artists, acting is both a job and a continuation of their music dreams.

On October 3, when I came to the south entrance of Chunxi Road, the crowd had surrounded two performers. The singing female singer had calm expression and no stage fright. She calmly performed Deng Ziqi's "My Secret" on the live mobile phone. Her name was Cui Jun, a singer of the Chinese Youth Art Troupe, who had participated in the talent show. After singing, she invited the drummer why not to sing, why not be a drummer, also participated in the draft, into the country's top 30.

When they began to perform, darkness had fallen, and the lights of the surrounding shopping malls illuminated them. Waves of people poured into the pedestrian street one after another. Except for a few people in the front row, their audience was changing rapidly. After singing several unknown songs in a row, they did not arouse too much resonance and could only hear sporadic applause, but they seemed to have been used to it, calmly switching to the next song.

When I left, I found a few people who had been there since I arrived and listened quietly. Talking about these experiences in the street, they feel that although the street performances are small, they are also performances, which is a rare opportunity for exhibition. If they can be recognized, they will be blessed.

Street performances are like Du Yuanqi, Zhong Jinqi to find out about themselves and share happiness, and also like Cui Jun, why not stick to their dreams and not miss opportunities? Whatever their musical attitudes, they gather people to show their musical talents and interact with their listeners. This undoubtedly narrows the gap between people and people, people and music. At the moment of stopping, people participate in the performance together. They are no longer unrelated strangers, but become part of the city music culture.

Du Yuanqi said that she likes being a street artist and can grow up with Chengdu, the "music capital". On the streets of Chengdu, street artists use songs to convey love, perseverance and tenderness of the city.

Street art is the symbol of open and inclusive urban civilization, which can improve the cultural quality of the city and change the artistic temperament of the citizens. Chengdu Street Artists Music Festival, as a part of Chengdu's famous music brand "Rongcheng Autumn", embodies the spirit of popular music with the participation of the whole people, the interaction of the whole people and the acquisition of the whole people, and will become a link between the city and people, city and culture.
