Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, situated in Shuangliu County in the southwest of Chengdu, is about 16km from the downtown area. It has two terminals with direct flights to dozens of cities in Chinese mainland and international cities and regions such as Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore and Tokyo. Besides, Chengdu-Mianyang-Leshan intercity railway has set up station underground in Terminal 2 of the airport.
The first phase of Line 10 (Taipingyuan- Terminal 2 of Shuangliu Airport) was opened to the public on September 6, 2017, and the running time is from 6:00 to 23:00.
When taking Line 10, people can transfer to Line 3 at Taipingyuan station.

Shuangliu Airport Intercity Bus Stop has access to several cities nearby, including Mianyang, Nanchong, Zigong, Luzhou, Deyang and Yibin, etc. so tourists can take the bus here if they intend to go to one of these places.
Train
Chengdu is the largest railway transportation hub in Southwest China, and more than 20 Chinese cities have direct buses to Chengdu. It has two main railway stations: North Railway Station and East Railway Station.
Its official name in the railway system is Chengdu Railway Station but local people are used to calling it North Railway Station.

It’s put into use in May 2011. At present, bullet trains from Chengdu to Chongqing, Chengda bullet trains and other related bullet trains pass here.

Intercity Bus
Chengdu is the largest highway hub in Southwest China, and six national highways converge here, including No. 108 and No. 319.

Urban Transportation
Like Beijing downtown, Chengdu has a first ring, second ring and third ring. The majority of scenic spots can be accessed by bus. Most buses have no conductors. The fare is usually one yuan for buses without air conditioning and two yuan for air-conditioned ones. Passengers need to prepare change.
If you need to stay for some time in Chengdu, you can apply for a bus card called Tianfutong. Such card holders have 50% off discount on the fare and can transfer thrice for free within 2 hours. Therefore, it can save money. The deposit for one card is RMB 20 and deposit will be returned with the payment receipt.
At present, Chengdu has six metro lines including Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 7 and Line 10.
