Jianchuan Museum Cluster, founded by the private entrepreneur FAN Jianchuan, is located in Anren Town of Dayi County, a little town of museums, with an area of 500 mu and a building area of about 100,000 square meters as well as more than eight million objects including 153 (sets of) national grade one cultural relics. With the theme of “collecting wars for peace; collecting lessons for the future; collecting disasters for safety; collecting folk customs for inheritance”, the museum has constructed more than 30 halls under four sections of anti-Japanese war, folk customs, the red ages and earthquake relief. It is a folk museum with the greatest folk capital input, the largest construction and exhibition area and the richest contents. So far, 18 halls and two theme squares have been completed and opened to the public, including Mainstay Hall, Frontline Battlefield Hall, Hero Soldier Hall, Unyielding War Prisoner Hall and Sichuan Army Hall as well as Anti-Japanese Veteran Fingerprint Square and Chinese Anti-Japanese Warriors’ Square that demonstrate anti-Japanese cultural relics; Porcelain Hall, Daily Necessities Hall, Badge, Clock and Seal Hall, Mirror Hall, School Graduates Hall and Words of DENG Xiaoping Hall which are under the red ages series; Three-inch Golden Lotuses’ Cultural Relics Hall and Old Mansion Hall under the folk customs series; Wenchuan Earthquake Hall, Earthquake Artwork Hall, 5.12 Disaster Relief Memorial Hall and National Defense Weapons Hall which are under the earthquake series. Jianchuan Museum which has innovatively gone beyond the traditional pure concept of museum not only brings together more than 30 museums together for the first time in China but also incorporates other business types of operation such as hotels, inns, teahouses and stores.
